Note: I have no official way of knowing when we lose a Chinook brotherhood member. As with the Chinookcrews.com database, information on this memorial page is strictly based on what you provide for me. I will be reviewing the database for any fallen comrades whom I may have missed upon initial creation of this memorial page as I get a chance.

| SGT Kip Jacoby 20 Dec 03 18 June 2005 |
I was reviewing your site and did not realize that this even existed! I was googling Kip Jacoby who was KIA in Afghanistan last Tuesday (June 18, 2005) when the helicopter he was in was attacked by enemy forces and shot down. This computer belongs to his grandmother, Lucy Jacoby, who asked that I find something out on him. As a private citizen I am deeply indebted to all the Kip Jacoby's who have sacrificed so much for the good of this country. He has a long lineage of heros in his family. His grandfather was a Major in the second World War and his Uncles both served as pilots in WW 2. He also had family that fought in the Revoluntary War! Can you update this site to indicate what a hero he was and the sacrifice he made? We would appreciate this. MH 47 Chinook was his plane. Thank you, Lucy Jacoby (Susan Hustwick) |

| Paul Dorrity 15 May 2004 12 August 2003 |
This is in memory of James P Dorrity that went down with the crew of an MH-47E in the oceans of the Philippines. He was an outstanding soldier and friend to all!
| Kevin Norman 15 May 2004 12 August 2003 |
He was killed near Camp Humphreys, ROK, on August 12, 2003 while conducting a routine maintenance test flight on a C-12F. He was the commander of A/6-52 Aviation, a C-12 VIP company, based in Seoul. A truly outstanding aviator, Kevin loved Chinooks and Chinook people. Even after he moved over to the fixed wing world, he never turned down an opportunity to get on top of a Chinook and poke around, or to stand on an external load during a field problem and teach young soldiers how to hook the load to the aircraft. Kevin inspired every person he knew, and his memories will be with us always. Kevin and his loving wife and West Point classmate, Brandi, were the only husband-wife combination in Korea who simultaneously commanded within the same battalion. Brandi asks that we all honor Kevin's memory by living like he did: never settling for second-best, standing up for what we believe in, and always choosing the harder right instead of the easier wrong. Warm regards, Matt Dossey
